AI Sadhu ("App") is operated by AI Sadhu ("Company", "we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal data when you use our App.

This policy is published in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

1. Data Fiduciary Information

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, we are a "Data Fiduciary" — the entity that determines the purpose and means of processing your personal data.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

• Phone Number — for OTP-based authentication via Firebase
• Full Name — to personalize your experience
• Date of Birth — required for astrological calculations
• Time of Birth — required for accurate chart computation
• Place of Birth — required for geographical chart accuracy
• Palm/Face Images — only when you use palm reading or face reading features (processed and not stored as raw images)

2.2 Data We Generate

• Birth Chart (Kundli) — computed using Swiss Ephemeris with Lahiri Ayanamsa
• Synthesis Data — planetary positions, dasha periods, yogas, and other astrological computations
• Chat History — your conversations with AI Sadhu
• Prediction History — past readings and guidance

2.3 Data Collected Automatically

• Device Information — device type, OS version (for app compatibility)
• Usage Data — features used, session duration (for improving the app)

3. How We Use Your Data

• To compute your birth chart and astrological analysis
• To provide personalized spiritual guidance
• To enable palm reading and face reading features
• To maintain your chat and prediction history
• To improve the accuracy and quality of our services
• To send you daily guidance notifications (with your consent)

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, we process your data based on:

• Consent — You explicitly agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy during registration
• Legitimate Interest — To provide and improve our services
• Legal Obligation — To comply with applicable Indian laws

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your birth details, chat history, and readings are never shared.

We may share data with:

• Firebase (Google) — for authentication only (phone number verification)
• Anthropic — anonymized query data for AI-powered guidance (your personal details are not sent)
• Law Enforcement — only when required by a valid legal order

6. Data Storage & Security

• All data is transmitted over 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption
• Phone numbers are hashed before storage
• No passwords are stored (OTP-only authentication)
• Data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure
• Access to user data is restricted to authorized systems only

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
• Chat history and predictions are anonymized or deleted
• Backup copies are purged within 90 days

8. Your Rights Under DPDP Act

As a Data Principal, you have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of all your personal data (available via "Download My Data" in app Settings)
• Correction — Update or correct your personal information
• Erasure — Delete your account and all associated data
• Withdraw Consent — Withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account
• Grievance Redressal — File a complaint with our Grievance Officer
• Nominate — Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity

9. Children's Privacy

AI Sadhu is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover that a minor has registered, we will delete their data immediately.

10. Cookies & Tracking

AI Sadhu is a mobile application and does not use browser cookies. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs.

11. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside India for the purpose of providing our services. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place as required by the DPDP Act.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that may affect your personal data, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected users as required under the DPDP Act, 2023.

14. Grievance Officer

The Grievance Officer will acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 30 days.
